[Profile]

Maria Prastakou, now a graduate of London College of Fashion, took her first steps in the fashion world by making her own dresses for her Barbies as a child and transforming her jeans into skirts as a teenager. Following her love for colors and design, Maria started photography lessons in Athens and later short courses on drawing and fashion during summertime in London. She has worked for Vogue magazine while she was still in school, as well as the Athens Fashion Week as a photographer. In her last year of high school she took design classes and later on started her studies in London, where she got her degree on Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear. She worked for the company Tsantilis and did her internship with Mary Katrantzou in the United Kingdom, and back in Greece, she just completed her masters degree in Marketing at ALBA Graduate Business School. At the same time, she was one of the winners of the Egg - Enter Grow Go entrepreneurship competition by Eurobank and Corallia, while developing her own collection based on the concept of transformation, named 180degrees.
