The IIEK of Municipality of Volos is the sequel to "School of Applied Arts" founded in 1986 by the "Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Volos". Housed in an elegant building of 2.500 m2, industrial aesthetic. The well-equipped classes, a high level of teachers, educational tours, creation of projects in real time, the organization of specialized seminars, friendly atmosphere, differentiate IEK D. Volos from other institutions. Participation in Community programs and further training courses, for students and instructors in institutions of European countries and the process of preparing for the continuation of studies in the EU countries is a key priority. The success rate of students in the certification exam for the National diploma is very high. Many graduates are successfully running their own workshops in Volos and in other cities and have developed strong professional activity. Specialties like Clothing, Jewelry, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Photography, Ceramics, Art Conservation, Chef and Receptionist, are very active with activities in Greece and abroad.
