The Fashion Workshop opened Athens Xclusive Designers Week with the graduation fashion show of its alumni, who presented 130 looks with imaginative designs and prints.


Paris Laliotis showcased his new collection «Lαbyrinth», inspired of ancient Crete. Garment constructions with eccentric and ample volumes and avant-garde headpieces impressed the guests.


Despina Miraraki participated in AXDW for the first time with her new collection Desmira by Miraraki, which consisted of velvet kimonos, dresses and bodysuits with lace details and sequins.


Olga Karaververis took her guests to New York presenting a collection inspired of its aura, combined with a special live performance by the talented performer Antonis Dominos. Maxi and midi dresses, gold details and sequins are the main characteristics of her collection.


Kathy Heyndels and Giannetos Handmade presented their new collections at an impressive fashion show at the Atrium of Zappeion Megaron. High waist trousers are combined with leather jackets, while the layering of garments stands out in the collection “Delusion” of Kathy Heyndels. Giannetos Handmade presented his new FW 19/20 collection titled “The Cashmere”, consisted of impressive handcrafted suits.


Dimitrios Ordoulidis closed the first day of AXDW with a collection, which could be characterized as “broken elegance”. Classic lines and cuts and modern fabrics used to embrace the street culture and create a sporty mood.






The second day of AXDW was dedicated to new talents, who presented their collections competing for three important awards in the context of New Designers Awards by 1664 Blanc: Best New Designer, Best Trendsetter and Best Catwalk. The young creators who participated in the competition are the following: Alex Taratynova, Christangelos, Dantee, IP_Suit, Lavish, Manto Mastrokalou, Marfl, Min & Max, My Way, Panagiota Kalos, SL by Leonidas Giannopoulos and Yiorgos Michoudis.


The brand Ip_Suit won the “Best New Designer” award and the opportunity to participate with a fashion show in a foreign fashion week next year.


The new designer Yiorgos Michoudis won the “Best Trendsetter” award and the chance to display his collection in the shop window of “Simple Caracters”.


Manto Mastrokalou is the third winner of the NDA by 1664 Blanc institution and the Best Catwalk award, which correspond to a fashion consulting program provided by “Fashion Workshop”.






Nikos Takis opened the third day of AXDW welcoming guests to the “New Era” with the new SS20 collection which is characterized by the simplicity of the lines, the luxury of the fabrics and the determination of the designs.


The Cypriot designer Afroditi Hera, presented her new collection «Kaleidoscope». Airy dresses, kimonos and caftans with prints and African influences were combined with oversized accessories.


Hunter showcased its new collection consisted of a variety of elegant accessories with minimal details for men and women, such as backpacks, belt bags, shoulder bags and suitcases.


The new collection “Symphony of the Seas” of Tassos Mitropoulos consists of maxi dresses, transparent sleeves and stripes which are combined with glitter details.


MYA presented her new collection, titled "Ιnnocence”,  which created a summer mood at Zappeion Hall, showcasing airy dresses with lace details and nude colours.


Last but not least, the fashion show of Vassilis Zoulias and Pericles Kondylatos at midnight. Titled “Νovus Ordo Seclorum”, the new jewelry collection of Pericles Kondylatos, inspired of the ancient civilizations of Incas, Aztecs, Egyptians and Greeks, combined with the elegant straw dresses of Vassilis Zoulias turned the fashion show into a moving art installation.




The fourth day of the Fashion Week begun with the new Spring/Summer “Girly Geometry” collection by The Mannequin Collection which combines the geometrical patterns, that define the brands aesthetics, with girly and airy elements.  Stiff, glossy fabrics were mixed with soft, flowing tulle.


The contemporary collection of shawls and stoles by TYS Touch Your Soul, showcased gorgeous statement pieces curated by using the most exclusive fabrics and high quality fibres achieving a rare natural finish. This collection brought the world of haute couture some exquisitely designed and beautifully hand-crafted pieces representing Indian heritage at its best.


The fashion show of Passager by Nadia Chalimou made the crowd applauding for long. A show full of leather, feathers, fringes and velours!


Valtadoros’ new collection “Cycladic Sunset” was full of classic black, chic white and minimal lines. Feminine hats, oversized leather belts as well as gold details completed the designer’s unique creations.


The light “thunders” enlightened the Athenian sky at Zappeion Hall and the show of Yvonne Bosnjak just began. This “Fierce” collection was made for the modern woman who still wants to remain feminine and elegant all day long. The show was a parade of black and white ultra-feminine and ultra-chic looks.


On Sunday evening the talented designer Loukia Kyriakou filled Zappeion with her beautiful looks of her new collection “Revival”. Evening gowns and lace were main characteristics of her new collection while the white color had a leading role.


MI-RO showcased the “Passage of time” collection inspired by Boldini’s portraits at a unique industrial scenery at the School of Fine Arts. A collection of glam rock tailoring and 50’s retro styling.






The 26th AXDW was completed with a fashion gig! A special dance performance took place at Fuzz Club for Parthenis’ new collection. Models were dancing on stage during this big fashion party for the grand finale of AXDW. The new creations of the designer were full of bold drappings, metallic touches and stretchy leather textures blend with classic shapes and minimal transparencies, creating a retro digital-age aesthetic.
